Basically the idea of Indoor Gardening is growing plants within a household or residence. It is basically for those who lives in homes and apartments and have no land to garden. The reason for Indoor Gardening can be your hobby or you want to build a genuine indoor garden which differs from person to person.

Water is everywhere but it is the most important things a garden will require. You have to water you garden everyday. Some plants require more water and some less, so make sure availability of water for the garden is easy.
Soil and Nutrients:
You have to choose the right soil for your plants if you want to grow them perfectly. Soil from the outdoors is heavy, so you should stick to Potting soil for indoor plants. Some plants require soil that is light and some medium weight soil. You will have different types of custom options to choose in Potting soil.

- Lighting: If you have access to natural sunlight for your garden, its good. If you are in an enclosed space and you don't have access to the natural sunlight, there are wide variety of options of lights that produce artificial lighting. If you are planning to grow basic plants and herbs, fluorescent lights are enough. - Potting Soil: For Container gardening or gardeners using soil, you have to buy a good indoor potting mix which is lightweight and fluffy and absorbs moisture very well. You can find your required Potting soil for your garden online or you can go to your local store and have them.
- Hydroponics: For those who are going for this method, head to your local hydroponic store and check out the different products and choose the one that's gonna work for you.

You can built an indoor garden anywhere in your home, workspaces or else where. By having garden, you are doing good for the environment and you can have fresh air every morning or all the day.
Hobby:
